Özet
Gastrointestinal sistemin yabancı cisimleri önemli bir morbidite ve mortalite sebebi olabilir. Özellikle sivri uçlu, delici, kesici aletler tehlikeli olabilir. Yabancı cisim yutma bebeklik ve çocukluk çağında sık karşılaşılan bir durumdur. Erişkin dönemde ise kazayla veya psikiyatrik hastalarda karşımıza çıkan bir sorundur. Özofagusu geçebilen yabancı cisimler genellikle hasta tarafından rektal yoldan çıkartılabilir. Fakat alınan yabancı cisim fazla miktarda ise midede birikim yapabilir. Karın ağrısı ile kliniğimize başvuran hasta, 127 adet çivi, vida ve benzeri alet yuttuğundan ilginç bulunarak sunuma hazırlanmıştır.
Abstract
Gastrointestinal foreign bodies can cause serious morbidity and mortality. Especially pointed piercing, cutter tools can be dangerous. Foreign body ingestion in infancy and childhood is a frequently encountered condition. Meanwhile, among adults accidental ingestion or psychiatric problems are the main causes. It is assumed that foreign bodies passing through the esophagus will usually be able to leave gastrointestinal tract through rectum. But if the amount of foreign bodies is too much, they accumulate in the stomach. The patient presented here who was admitted to our clinic with abdominal pain was found to swallow 127 nails, screws and similar tools.
