Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışma, Ulusal Çocuk Cerrahisi Kongrelerinde sunulan serbest bildiri (SB) ve posterlerin (P) uluslararası dergilerde yayımlanma oranı, yayımlanan makalelerin ve dergilerin özelliklerini ortaya koymak amacıyla planlandı. Yöntem: Uluslararası yayın olarak Science citation index (SCI) veya Index Medicus'a (IM) giren dergilerde yayımlanmış makaleler tanımlanmıştır. XIV-XVIII Ulusal Çocuk Cerrahisi kongrelerinde sunulan SB ve P'lerin birinci sıra-daki yazarlarının isimleri Ulusal Çocuk Cerrahisi Kongre özet kitaplarından bulunarak, PubMed internet sitesinde yer alan National Library of Medicine veri tabanına girildi. Tüm SB ve P'ler tarandı. Bulgular: XIV-XVIII Ulusal Çocuk Cerrahisi Kongrelerin-de toplam 776 bildiri sunulmuştu. Bunların 394'ü SB, 382 P'di. SB'lerin 101'i (% 25.6), P'lerin 55'i (% 14.4) olmak üzere toplam bildirilerin 156'sı (%20) IM'de yer alan bir dergide yayımlanmıştı. Yayımlanan bildirilerin % 45.5'i (71) klinik çalışma, % 42.3 'ü (66) deneysel çalışma, % 12.2'si (19) olgu sunumuydu. Bildiriler IM'de yer alan 38 dergide yayımlanmışlardı. Bu dergilerin 27'si SCI'ye de giriyordu. Sonuç: Ulusal kongrelerde sunulan bildirilerin uluslararası dergilerde yayımlanması ve sonuçlarının başka ülkelerde de kullanılması önemlidir. Tıp alanında en önemli uluslararası dizinler IM ve SCI'dir. XIV-XVIII Ulusal Çocuk Cerrahisi kongrelerinde sunulan bildirilerin % 20'si IM'de yer alan bir dergide yayımlanmıştır. Bununla birlikte her kongre tek tek değerlendirildiğinde XV. ulusal kongreden sonra bildirilerin uluslararası dergilerde yayımlanma oranı giderek azalmıştır.
Abstract
Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the ratio of publication of the free papers (FP) and posters (P), which have been presented in the Annual Meeting of Turkish Association of Pediatric Surgeons, in the international journals and evaluate the characteristics of the papers and the journals. Method: An international publication was defined as a paper, which was published in a journal that has been indexed in the Index Medicus (IM) and Science citation index (SCI). The first authors' names of the papers, which had been presented in the XIV-XVIII Annual Meetings of Turkish Association of Pediatric Surgeons were found in the abstracts of the papers and the names were entered as key words into the National Library of Medicine database using PubMed internet site. All of the FP and P were included in the search. Results: Totally 776 papers had been presented in the XIV-XVII Annual Meetings of Turkish Association of Pediatric Surgeons. 394 were FP and 382 were P. 101 (25.6%) of FP and 55 (14.4%) of P, in total % 20 of the papers were published in the journals indexed for IM. 45.5% of the papers ,which were published were clinical trails, 42.3% were experimental studies, and 12.2% were case reports. The papers were published in 38 journals which were inde-xed in the IM. 27 of these journals indexed for SCI as well. Conclusion: Publication of the papers, which have been presented in the Annual Meetings of Turkish Association of Pediatric Surgeons in the international journals and providing data for the use of other countries is important. The most important international medical indexes are IM and SCI. 20% of the papers which were presented in the XIV-XVIII Annual Meetings of Turkish Association of Pediatric Surgeons have been published in the journals indexed in IM. Despite these figures it's worth noting that the publication of the papers have gradually decreased after the XVth Annual Meeting of Turkish Association of Pediatric Surgeons.
