LİSE SON SINIF ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN GÖZÜ İLE EĞİTİME VE YÜKSEKÖĞRETİME BİR BAKIŞ

Özet
Bu çalışmada lise öğrencilerinin hedefledikleri üniversite ve bölümden beklentileri ve genel anlamda eğitim ve yükseköğretime bakış açıları hakkında fikir edinilmeye çalışılmış ve öğrencilerin neden üniversite okumak istediklerinin, ne amaçla eğitim aldıklarının tespit edilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Araştırma nitel, betimsel bir saha taraması araştırmasıdır. Araştırma fenomenolojik araştırma desenindedir. Veriler kodlanırken sürekli karşılaştırma metodu kullanılmıştır. Örneklem seçiminde maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, araştırmanın amacına uygun olarak seçilen 2016-2017 eğitim yılında Türkiye’de Ege bölgesinde bir ilde lise son sınıfta okuyan, sekiz farklı okul türüne kayıtlı, araştırmaya katılmak için gönüllü 161 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerden 55’i erkek, 106’sı kadındır. Araştırmada veriler yarı yapılandırılmış bir görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır ve verilerin analizinde nitel analiz yöntemlerinden içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak yükseköğretimin amaçları ile lise çağındaki öğrenci kitlesinin amaçlarının uyuşmadığı söylenebilir.
Abstract
In this study it was aimed to get an idea about the expectations of high school students from the university and the department they want to enter and about their points of view about higher education in particular and education in general. Why they want to go on higher education and for what purpose they want to get education was aimed to be defined. The study is a qualitative, descriptive survey. It is designed as a phenomenological research. Constant comparison technique was used while coding the data. The sample was taken using maximum variation sampling. The study group consists of 161 volunteered senior students studying at 8 different types of high schools in a city in the Aegean region of Turkey in the academic year 2016-2017. 55 of the participants are male and 106 of them are female. The data was collected via a semi structured interview form and analyzed through content analysis. As a result of the study it can be said that the objectives of higher education and the goals of the students at high school disaccord.
