Abstract

Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) is an immun-complex mediated hypersensitivity reaction that may be caused by many drugs, viral infections and malignancies. In up to half of the cases, no specific etiology has been identified. SJS typically involves the skin and the mucous membranes and significant oral, pulmonary, cardiac, gastrointestinal, renal and opthalmic lesions also may occur. Fever, severe stomatitis, multiform mucocutaneous lesions which more intense at trunk are developed in a patient who operated for fronto-parietal region epandymoma and given the diphenylhidantoin (DFH) postoperatively in our hospital's neurosurgery department. Then, this patient transported to our department and diagnosed as SJS. Here, we are presenting this SJS case together literature knowledges about this illness.
