Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışma, annelerin bebek beslenmesi konusundaki bilgilerini belirlemek ve bu konudaki eğitim gereksinimlerini saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma Akdeniz Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Sağlam Çocuk Polikliniğine izlem, kontrol ve aşı programı için gelen 0-12 ay arası bebeği olan anneler arasında yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Veriler, 01 Haziran-31 Temmuz 2002 tarihleri arasında annelere bebek beslenmesi ile ilgili soruları kapsayan anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirmesi, SPSS programında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bulgular: Annelerin %71.5'i ilk aylarda bebeklerine anne sütü vermişlerdir. Annelerin %30.1'i bebeklerine 5.-6. aylarda ek gıda vermeye başlamışlardır. Annelerin %30.1'nin ek gıda olarak ilk olarak meyve suyu, yoğurt ve süt verdikleri belirlenmiştir. Annelerin % 48'i bebeklerini emzirmeye 6-12 ay devam etmişlerdir. Sonuç: Annelerin çoğunluğunun ilk gıda olarak anne sütünü seçtikleri ve ek gıdalara 4 aydan sonra başladıkları, fakat emzirmeye devam etme sürelerinin yetersiz olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu sorunun çözümüne yönelik olarak toplumsal bazda işbirliği ile eğitim ve hizmet sunulmasına gereksinim vardır.
Abstract
Objective: This research aims to determine the knowledge of the mothers about of nutrition of their babies and training need in this subject. This research was performed on mothers who have babies at 0 to 12 mounts of age and who has come to the Healthy Child Clinic at Mediternean University Medical Faculty Hospital. Material and Method: Data were collected by using a questionnaire which is consisted of questions about nutrition of babies in between 01 June and 31 July 2002. Data analysis were done by statistics package for the social sciences programme (SPSS). Results: According to the findings, 71.5% of the mothers gave breast feeding to their children at first few months. 30.1% of the mothers began to give additional nutriments at 5 to 6 mounts. 30.1% of the mothers have founded that they have given fruit juice, yogurt and milk as additional nutriments. 48% of the mothers stated that they have continued to breast feeding for 6 to 12 months. Conclusion: In conclusion, it was determined that most of the mothers have selected breast milk for the first nutriment and they have began additional nutriments after 4 months, but they have continued to breast feeding insufficiently. We need to supply services and training to people with cooperation of the society directed to the solution of these problems.
