Abstract

The aim of this study is determined by problems encountered during the application of a new program conducted in the primary school manager and the class teachers’ perception. For this study data was gathered through a questionnaire that was conducted between 55 primary schoolmanagers and 272 class teachers in the city centre ofŞanlı Urfa, where the evidence was both analyzed and interpreted. Findings of this study show that the school manager and class teachers encountered fewer problems regarding gains, content, and evaluation, than the teaching and learning process dimension of the program. It was discovered that the manager also encountered fewer problems than class teachers during the application process of this new program. The manager and class teachers were briefed about the new program and the research showed that they encountered fewer problems than the non-briefed managers and class teachers. Because of these findings, suggestions developed which included the briefing of all managers and class teachers who participated in the new program, thus empowering the basic facilities and equipment of these schools
