Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, lise öğrencilerinde depresyon, şiddet eğilimi ve ebeveyn/arkadaşa bağlanmanın benlik saygısının araştırmaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 178'i kız (% 62.9) ve 105'i erkek (% 37.1) 283 lise öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilerin yaş ortalamaları 15,39; yaşlarının standart sapma değeri ise 0,489'dur. Araştırma verileri; Rosenberg benlik saygısı ölçeği, Şiddet eğilimi ölçeği, Beck depresyon ölçeği ve Ebeveyn ve arkadaşlara bağlanma envanteri kısa form ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde aşamalı çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Bağımsız değişkenler arasında çoklu bağlantı olup olmadığını belirlemek amacıyla değişkenler arasındaki ikili korelasyonlar incelenmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarında, depresyon, arkadaşa güven, anneye yabancılaşma öğrencilerinin benlik saygılarının önemli yordayıcıları olduğu saptanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, kişilik gelişimi için kritik bir öneme sahip ergenlik dönemindeki lise öğrencilerine yönelik koruyucu ve önleyici müdahalelerde yol gösterici olabilir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether depression, violence, and parental / friend attachment in high school students are significant predictors of self-esteem. The study group consisted of 283 high school students, 178 female (62.9%) and 105 male (37.1%). The average age of the students is 15,39; and the standard deviation of age is 0.489. The data were collected using Rosenberg self-esteem scale, Violence tendency scale, Beck depression scale, and a short form of parent and friends attachment inventory. In the analysis of the data, a stepwise multiple linear regression analysis was used. Binary correlations between variables were examined to determine whether there are multicollinearity between independent variables. In results of the analysis, it was determined that depression, trust to friend, alienation to mother and alienation to friend are important predictors of self esteem of high school students. The results outcome may guiding for protective and preventive intervention for high school students who are in adolescence which is a critical importance for personality development.
