Kars yöresinde atık yapan koyunların kan serumlarında chlamydia psittaci' ye karşı oluşan antikorların komplement fikzasyon (CF) ve enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) testleri ile saptanması

Özet
Bu çalışmada, Kars yöresinde atık yapan 273 adet koyuna ait kan serumu, Chlamydia psittaci'ye karşı oluşan antikor varlığının saptanması amacıyla serolojik kontrole tabi tutuldu. Bu amaçla CFT ve ELISA yöntemlerinden yararlanıldı ve her iki testin duyarlılıkları karşılaştırıldı. Çalışmada atık yapan 273 adet koyuna ait kan serumunun CFT ile 52'si (% 19.05), ELISA ile de 49'u (% 17.95) pozitif olarak değerlendirildi. CFT, ELISA yöntemine göre daha duyarlı bulunurken, ELISA yönteminin de alternatif bir test olarak kullanılabileceği ancak standart bir ELISA yönteminin geliştirilmesinin gerektiği, Kars yöresinde koyunlarda görülen atık olaylarında C. psittaci'nin yol açtığı Koyunların Enzootik Abortusu'nun ihmal edilmemesi, kontrol ve eradikasyon çalışmalarına biran önce başlanması gerektiği sonucuna varıldı.
Abstract
In this study, serum samples from 273 sheep that aborted were subjected to serological control to determine the presense of antibodies against Chlamydia psittaci in Kars district. To this end a CFT and ELISA were employed and the sensitivity of both assays was compared. In the study, sera from 273 sheep that aborted showed seropositivity in 52 samples (19.05%) in the CFT and in 49 samples (17.95%) in the ELISA. The CFT appeared to be more sensitive than the ELISA, whereas it was concluded that the ELISA could be used as an alternative test but a standart ELISA should be improved, Enzootic Abortion Ewes (EAE) in Kars district should not be ignored and immediately investigations in control and eradication of the disease, should be launched.
