Abstract
In this study, some nutrient contents were determined in native Juniper (Juniperus excelsa Bieb.)fruits picked up from seven points in mountainous areas. Some soil properties in plant growth areas were determinedin 0–20; 20–40 and 40–60 cm soil depths. The relationships between nutrient contents of fruits and soil propertieswere determined using statistical analyses. As a result, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium(Ca), magnesium (Mg), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn) and cupper (Cu) contents of juniper fruits were variedbetween 0.36-0.64%, 0.17-0.21%, 5.02-6.81%, 0.94-1.77%, 1.77-3.81%, 63.57-119.68 ppm, 7.81 -19.41 ppm,14.14 -19.29 ppm and 18.15-22.03 ppm, respectively. Soil properties can be summarized as loam and clay loamin texture, light alkaline, moderate in lime content, light saline, and low in organic matter, phosphorus, manganeseand zinc contents. The significant negative relationships were found among N and Ca contents of juniper fruits andsoil salinity (P<0.05). The positive relationships were determined among P and Zn contents of juniper fruits andsoil organic matter (P<0.05).
