Abstract
The muhkam and mutashâbih, which have become a subject of the science of kalam as well as the fields such as tafsir and usul al-fiqh, have been a subject that has been examined in different dimensions and discussed extensively in the Islamic World. Mutakallimûn have been involved in this issue with more through khabarî attributes, in this sense, they have also focused on their wisdom, apart from the description of the mutashâbihs and the verses covered by them. While examining the question of the wisdom of this kind of verses which united in his meaning is hidden, sometimes was resorted to known meaning and unknown mutashâbih in the form of a classification and in some cases, such benefits have been introduced without the need for such a system. Since the verses concerned cannot be interpreted, the principle of wisdom, which is revealed by Salafiyya in the form of testing with silence, was dealt with by the Mu‘tazila, who thought that they could be interpreted, mainly through the benefit of promoting knowledge and preventing taqleed. The Ash‘ârite and Mâturîdîte sects have followed a middle path on this subject and they have presented a whole of wisdom, which varies according to the situation based on the fact that there are mutashabih verses of both kinds.
