Ruh hekimlerinin profesyonel yaşamlarını zorlaştıran şey, iş tanımlarının anlaşılmazlığıdır. Özellikle kendilerini tarif etmeye çabaladıklarında bu durum iyice belirginleşir. Psikiyatrinin teori ve pratiğine dair sorunların kökeninde ampirik, deneysel olanla ilişkide olduğu veya olması gerektiği fikri yatmaktadır. Tıp bilim değildir. Disiplinler topluluğudur. Buna rağmen ruh hekimleri bu düşünceye kendilerini tutsak etmişlerdir
Abstract
What makes the professional life harder for the psychiatrist is the intruigubility of their jobdescription. Especially on the spesific moment when they do describe themselves. That so-called tangibility has its roots as the availibity of ampirical and experiential devices regarding to the theory and practice of psychiatry. Medicine itself in fact is not a science. But a group of disciplines. Despite this, psychiatrist somehow still have a serious problem of which they feel themselves handicapped
