Türkiye’de Cumhuriyetin Erken Döneminde Max Weber Etkisi ve Bu Etkiyi Anlamak

Özet

Sosyoloji, Türkiye’de Batı’daki birçok ülkeyle eşzamanlı olarak kurumsallaşmış ve alana ilişkin gelişmeler en başından itibaren yakından takip edilmiştir. Ancak bu durum sadece bir izleme faaliyeti olarak kalmamış, Batı sosyolojisiyle kurulan yakın ilişki ve katkılarla bir form kazanmıştır. Buna bağlı olarak bu süreçte, Batı sosyolojisinin önemli isimleri ve ekolleri ile kurulan ilişkinin boyutu, etki tartışmalarını da beraberinde getirmiştir. Ancak bu tartışmalar Türkiye’de genellikle sadece etki ya da ilham temelinde sürdürülmüş, böylece ekol ya da isimlerle kurulan ilişkinin özelliklerinin çok boyutlu bir biçimde kavranması pek mümkün olmamıştır. Bu makalede Cumhuriyetin erken döneminde Max Weber sosyolojisiyle kurulan ilişkinin nitelikleri tartışılacak ve bu ilişkinin kavranabilmesi için gerekli sosyolojik perspektif ortaya koyulacaktır.

Abstract

Sociology has been institutionalized concurrently with many countries in the West and the developments in the field of sociology have been closely watched from the very beginning in Turkey. But this was not only an activity of pursuit, and had a form through close relations with and contributions of the Western sociology. Within this process, the dimension of the relation established with the important names and schools of the Western sociology has brought the argumentations of impact together. But, these argument s have been pursued on the basis of impact or inspiration in Turkey, therefore it was not possible to comprehend the characteristics of these relations established with the schools or names at a multi-dimensional level. In this article, the characteristics of the relation established with the sociology of Max Weber in early Republican era will be argued and the necessary sociological perspective to comprehend this relationship will be revealed
