Alejandro Almanza Pereda’nın Eserlerinde Risk Koruması Altındaki Denge

Özet

Alejandro Almanza Pereda, Meksika asıllı bir heykel sanatçısıdır. Sanat hayatı boyunca çeşitli ülkelerde ve şehirlerde bulunarak sanatsal üretimlerini gerçekleştirmiştir. 15. İstanbul Bienalinde ülkemizde tanınırlığı artan sanatçının; heykel, enstalasyon, video ve fotoğraflarının merkezinde yer alan denge, her çalışmasında farklı bir yönü ile karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Araştırmada yer alan eserler, sanatçının farklı dönemlerde üretmiş olduğu ve farklı özelliklere sahip eserlerinden seçilmiştir. Almanza ile yapılan yazılı görüşmeler aracılığıyla kendisi ile ilgili kaynaklara erişim sağlanmıştır. Bu araştırmadaki eserler; Terry Barrett’in sanat eleştirisine yönelik önerdiği farklı sanat eleştirisi yaklaşımlarının ve kuramlarının birlikte kullanıldığı kapsayıcı bir yöntemle analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca literatür taraması sonucu elde edilen veriler, sanatçıyla yapılan video röportajların incelenmesi ve araştırmacıların sanatçı ile yazışmaları sonucu elde edilen veriler kullanılarak eserler kavramsal çerçevede tartışılmıştır. Sanatçı, eserlerini üretirken duyduğu heyecan, hassas ve güçlü ögelerin karşıt eşleştirmeleri sonucu kurduğu riskli denge ile izleyiciye çarpıcı izlenimler sunmaktadır.

Abstract

Alejandro Almanza Pereda is a Mexican sculpture artist who realized artistic productions in many places throughout his art life. The balance comes out in a different direction in every study of artist.The works in the research were selected from works with distinctive features that the artist produced in different periods. Through the written interviews with Almanza, the resources were provided access. In this study, the works of the artist were analyzed by Terry Barrett 's inclusive method of using different approaches and theories of art criticism for art criticism. In addition, the works were discussed in the conceptual framework by using the data obtained after the literature search, the video interviews made with the artist and the results obtained from the researchers' correspondence with the artist. The artist presents striking impressions to the audience with the risky balance he has created as a result of the excitement he receives as he reproduces his works, the contrasts of sensitive and powerful characters.
