Ankara Developmental Screening Inventory (AGTE) İs used to determine psychomotor development of the children. Among the 320 participant children, 22.2%of them vere stunted, 8.4%were underweight, and 2.8%were thin. This study has showed us that 11.9% of these children had a poor psychomotor development. Accordİng to the results o f the Logistİc regression analysis, while poverty have a significant association with low height-for age (OR = 7.24; GA = 1.94-26.92), the lack of hand cleaning system within or next to the toilette is found to have a significant association with the psychosocial age of the child and psychomotor development. As a result, it can be claimed that poverty is one o f the most important factors influencing child health.
