Özet

Çiğ Gölü Ordu ili Mesudiye ilçesi Dayılı Mahallesi sınırları içerisinde bulunur. Deniz seviyesinden 1562 m yükseltide bulunan Çiğ Gölü’nün ilçe merkezine uzaklığı 23 km’dir. Gölün bulunduğu sulak alan 2016 yılında “Mahalli Öneme Haiz Sulak Alan” olarak tescillenmiştir. Tarihin sayfalarında kendine özel bir yer edinen Mesudiye ilçesinde gerçekleştirilen çalışmalarda 50’ye yakın tarihi yerleşim alanı tespit edilmiştir. Eskiden Milas/Hamidiye adlarıyla anılan Mesudiye sınırları içinde İlk Tunç Çağı’ndan itibaren yaygın yerleşim alanlarının olduğu bildirilmiştir. Çiğ Gölü’nün kenarından geçen Handeresi Antik Kervan Yolu sayesinde Çiğ Gölü ibadet ve durak yeri olarak kullanılmıştır. Yüzey araştırmalarında burada bulunan sikke ve antika parçaların M.Ö. 370-322 yılları arasında hüküm sürmüş son Helenistik Pontos Krallığının son kralı Mithradates VI Eupator’a ait oldukları anlaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, yerelde de çok fazla tanınmayan Çiğ Gölü’nün taşıdığı ekolojik değerinin yanı sıra literatür değerlendirmelerinden elde edilen tarihi-kültürel değerinin tanıtılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, Çiğ Gölü ve çevresinin sahip olduğu kültürel ve doğal değerleri ile rekreasyonel aktiviteler için potansiyel durumu tespit edilip, yörenin sosyo-ekonomik gelişmesine katkı sağlaması umulmaktadır.

Abstract

The Çiğ Lake is found in the boundaries of the Dayılı village in Mesudiye districh of Ordu City. The lake where is located at 1526 m altitude of sea level is 23 km away from the city center. The wetland located on lake was registered as a wetland having local importance in 2016. In Mesudiye district, which has a special place in the pages of history, close to 50 historical settlements have been identified in the studies carried out. Thanks to the Handeresi Antique Caravan Road passing through the edge of the Lake, Çiğ Lake was used as a place of worship and stall. The coins and antique pieces found here belonged to Mithradates VI Eupator, the last king of the last Hellenistic Pontos Kingdom, which ruled between 370-322 B.C. In this study, it is aimed to introduce the ecological value of Lake Çiğ, which is not well known in the local area, as well as the historical-cultural value obtained from the literature evaluations. In this study, it is expected that the potential of cultural and natural values and recreational activities of the Çiğ Lake and its surroundings will be determined and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
