Abstract
We diagnosed two cases with primary carcinoma of fallopian tube (PFTC), in a short time period, between February and April 2001 and presented them due to rare occurence of PFTC. Both cases were postmenopausal women with high serum CA 125 levels and vaginal bleeding. PFTC was diagnosed after hysterectomy and bilateral salpingooopherectomy in the case with early disease who was being followed-up for a simple ovarian cyst for 1.5 years. We performed debulking surgery in the case with bulky tumor. Gradually elevation of serum CA 125 level preoperatively, in the case with early disease during the follow-up for ovarian cyst and postoperatif remission without chemotherapy may be a remarkable event. Because rare occurence of PFTC, clinical manifestations and the treatment results of cases we presented may be a part of other meta-analysis.
