Özet
Bu makalede uzun süre 3. jenerasyon oral kontraseptif kullanan ve sigara içen 32 yaşındaki bir kadında oluşan serebral tromboemboli vakası sunulmuştur. Oral kontraseptif kullanımının serebral tromboemboli ile ilişkisini ortaya koyan çalışmalar çoğunlukla 50 mg veya daha fazla östrojenlerin kullanıldığı dönemlerde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Makalemizde 3. jenerasyon .oral kontraseptiflerin serebral tromboembolizm açısından ilk jenerasyon oral kontraseptifler ile aynı etkiye yol açıp açmadığı ve farkları tartışılmıştır.
Abstract
We report a case of cerebral thromboembolism in a 32 years old multigravid using 3<sup>rd</sup>generation oral contraceptive. We didn't find any risk factor associated with cerebral thromboembolism except from smoking. In this paper we discussed whether new generation oral contraceptives could bring about any increase in the risk of cerebral thrombosis as first generation oral contraceptives do.
