Retrobulber anestezik madde enjeksiyonunun oluşturduğu proptozisin hertel ekzoftalmometre ile incelenmesi

Özet
Amaç: Retrobulber anestezik madde enjeksiyonunun oluşturduğu proptozisin Hertel ekzoftalmometre ile değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Retrobulber anestezi altında intraoküler cerrahi uygulanan 100 hastanın 100 gözü incelendi. Hastaların anestezi öncesi Hertel ekzoftalmometre değerleri kaydedildi. Her hastaya 3 ml lidokain retrobulber olarak uygulandı. Anestezi sonrası ekzoftalmometrik değerler tekrar ölçülüp başlangıç değerleri ile karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: Çalışma grubunda yaş ortalaması 67.7±10.7 yıl olan 54 (%54.0) kadın ve 46 (%46.0) erkek hasta değerlendirildi. Hastaların tümüne intraoküler cerrahi uygulandı (90 katarakt cerrahisi, 8 trabekülektomi, 2 sekonder intraoküler lens implantasyonu). Retrobulber anestezi öncesi göz küresinin ekzoftalmometre değeri ortalama 15.73±2.52 mm anestezi sonrası ortalama 18.37±2.85 mm ölçüldü. Retrobulber anestezi ile ortalama 2.64±1.15 mm proptozis meydana geldi (p<0.001). Sonuç: Retrobulber anestezi sonucunda anlamlı derecede proptozis geliştiği gösterildi.
Abstract
Purpose: It is aimed to evaluate the amount of proptosis caused by injection of retrobulber anesthetic by Hertel exophthalmometer. Materials and Methods: One hundred eyes of 100 cases operated under retrobulber anesthesia were investigated. The Hertel exophthalmometric values of the cases were determined before anesthesia. Each patient had 3ml lidocaine as retrobulber injection. Hertel exophthalmometric values were obtained after anesthesia and compared with baseline. Results: In the study group, 54 (54.0%) female and 46 (46.0%) male patients with a mean age of 67.7±10.7 years were considered. All the patients had intraocular surgery (90 cataract surgery, 8 trabeculectomy, 2 secondary IOL implantation). The Hertel exophthalmometric value before injection was 15.73±2.52 mm. Following anesthesia, it was measured 18.37±2.85 mm. There was 2.64±1.15 mm proptosis caused by retrobulber anesthesia (p<0.001). Discussion: It was demonstrated that a significant amount of proptosis was caused by retrobulber anesthesia.
