Göz içi lens gücü hesaplaması ve optik biometri

Özet

A-mod ultrasonografi, göz içi lens (GİL) gücü hesaplamalarında halen yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Fakat bu yöntem, çeşitli sebeplerden dolayı ameliyat sonrası beklenmeyen refraksiyon hatalarına sebep olabilmektedir. Refraktif cerrahideki hızlı gelişmeler ve hastaların ameliyat sonrası görme beklentilerine paralel olarak, göz içine konulacak lens gücünün daha doğru ve uygulayıcı hatalarından bağımsız bir şekilde hesaplanması ihtiyacı doğmuştur. Bu derlemede ultrasonik biometri, biometrideki hata kaynakları, GİL gücü hesaplamasında kullanılan formüller, optik biometri ve optik biometrinin avantajlarını değerlendirmeye çalıştık.

Abstract

A-scan ultrasonography is still widely used for IOL power calculation but it may lead to unexpected postoperative refraction errors due to various reasons. Calculation of IOL power more precisely by an operator independent device is needed in accordance with recent developments in refractive surgery and postoperative visual expectations of the patients. In this review, we tried to evaluate the ultrasonic biometry, error sources in biometry, IOL power calculation formulas, optical biometry and advantages of optical biometry.
