Özet
Lipswitch vestibüloplasti tekniği alveoler kretin vertikal yüksekliğinin yetersiz olduğu vakalarda protezin stabilitesinin arttırılması için uygulanabilecek bir yöntemdir. Labial vestibüloplasti tekniğinde yapılan bazı modifikasyonlar ile protezler için daha düzgün ve geniş yüzeyler sağlanabilmektedir. Çalışmada 60 hastaya lipswitch operasyonu uygulanmış ve hastalar klinik olarak takip edilmiştir. Vestibüler sulkus derinliği hem preoperatif ve hemde postoperatif olarak kret tepesi ile sulkus tabanı arasındaki mesafenin ölçülmesi ile belirlendi. Preoperatif anterior mandibüler sulkus derinliği ortalama 3.3±1.3mm olarak ölçüldü. 6 ay sonraki ölçümlerde ise yaklaşık ortalama 8.6±2mm olarak ölçüldü. Bu değerler arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark tespit edildi(p<0.05). Kazanılan vestibüler derinlik ortalaması 5.3±2.1mm olarak saptandı. Operasyondan 1-1,5 ay sonra hastaların protezleri takılarak 3 ay sonra kontrolleri yapılmıştır. Kontroller sonrası herhangi bir şikayetle karşılaşılmamıştır. Sonuç olarak doğru endikasyon, atravmatik çalışma ve özenli bir postoperatif bakım uygulandığı taktirde bu tekniğin tercih edilebilir olduğu gözlenmiştir.
Abstract
The Lipswitch vestibuloplasty technique is useful to increase the stability of dentures if anterior mandibular vestibule is insufficient. It's possible to create an improved surfaces for dentures with some modifications of labial vestibuloplasty techniques.In our study we applied lipswitch operation to 60 patients and they have been followed clinically. The vestibular depth measured from the crest of the ridge to the vestibular sulcus both preoperatively and postoperatively. The mean preoperative anterior mandibular vestibular depth was 3.3±1.3mm. After 6 months, the mean anterior mandibular depth was 8.6±2mm, and this difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). The mean gain vestibular depth was 5.3±2.1mm. 1-1,5 months postoperatively dentures were applicated to the patients and they were controlled after 3 months after the operation. In all inspections there were no significant complications. In conclusion it is concluded that, if proper diagnosis, gently application of the technique and postoperative care can be performed the lipswitch vestibuloplasty technique is preferable.
