Abstract
In recent years, genus brevibacterium is described as a pathogen in human infections. It is reported that this bacterium has been isolated from blood, cere¬brospinal fluid and the other sterile body fluids. Brevibacterium casei is a rare cause of infection and has been isolated from blood cultures in a patient with cellulitis. Intravenous ampicillin plus sulbactam therapy (4 gr/day) was given for five days to the patient and the therapy was changed as continuous therapy with amoxicillin plus clavulanate (3 gr/day) for six days after the discharge. Total cure was observed at the end of this therapy period.
