Corpus callosum lipomas in association with frontal subcutaneous lipomas

Özet

Bu bildiride frontal kemik defektleri yoluyla frontal ciltaltı lipomları ile bağlantısı bulunan iki korpus kallozum lipomu olgusu sunulmaktadır. İntrakraniyal lipomlar ender olmakla birlikte, bu lezyonların ekstrakraniyal alana uzanımları daha da nadirdir. Her olguda bu ilişkiyi göstermek mümkün değildir ancak sunulan olgularda manyetik rezonans görüntüleme ve/veya bilgisayarlı tomografi görüntüleriyle bu uzanımlar ve bağlantıları gösterilmiştir. Lezyonlar korpus kallozumun anterior tubulonodüler lipomlarıdır ve bulgularımız daha önce bildirilenlerle uyumludur.

Abstract

This report concerns two corpus callosum lipoma cases which are associated with frontal midline subcutaneous lipomas through frontal bone defects. Intracranial lipomas are rare but the extension of these lesions to the extracranial area is even more rare. Although it is not possible to show the relationship of the lesions in every case, magnetic resonance imaging and / or computed tomography scans demonstrate the extensions and relationships in presented cases. The presented lesions resemble the anterior bulky tubulonodular lipomas of corpus callosum and our findings are in accordance with the previously reported cases.
