Özet

Deri tümörlerinin etiyolojisinde insan papilloma virüs infeksiyonları suçlanmaktadır. Keratoakantom, bazal hücreli kanser ve deri skuamöz hücreli kanser oluşumunda insan papilloma virüs infeksiyonlarının rolüne ilişkin birkaç çelişkili rapor vardır. Bu tümörlerin etiyolojisinde insan papilloma virüslerinin ilişkisini daha fazla çalışmak için, keratoakantom (18 örnek), bazal hücreli kanser (36 örnek) ve skuamöz hücreli kanserli (28 örnek) parafinize 82 biyopsi örneğinde insan papilloma virüs E ve L gen bölgelerini hedefleyen t primerler ile polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu uygulayarak genital ve epidermodisplazia verrüsiformis insan papilloma virüsleri araştırıldı. Beta globin 82 örneğin 54'ünde pozitifti. Bunlardan 18 örnek skuamöz hücreli kanser, 10 örnek keratoakantom ve 26 bazal hücreli kanserdi, insan papilloma virüs DNA'sı 13 örnekte saptandı. İnsan papilloma virüs DNA'sı 26 bazal hücreli kanserin 6'sında, 18 skuamöz hücreli kanserin 5'inde ve 10 keratoakantom örneğinin 2'sinde saptandı. İnsan papilloma virüs 6 DNA'sı 8 örnekte, İnsan papilloma virüs 16 DNA'sı 5 örnekte ve insan papilloma virüs 18 DNA'sı 3 örnekte pozitif bulundu. Bu çalışma insan papilloma virüs infeksiyonunun münferit olguların patogenezinde rol oynayabileceğini göstermektedir, insan papilloma virüs infeksiyonu bu tümörlerin etiyolojisinde olası bir faktördür.

Abstract

Human papillomavirus infections have been implicated in the ethiology of skin tumors. There have been several contradictory reports on the role of human papillomavirus infections in the development of keratoacanthomas, basal cell carcinomas and cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas. To further study the involvement of human papillomaviruses in the ethiology of these tumors, we investigated paraffin-embedded specimens of 82 biopsy of keratoacanthomas (18 specimens), basal cell carcinomas (36 specimens) and squamous cell carcinomas (28 specimens) for presence of genital and epidermodysplasia verruciformis human papillomavirus DNA by polymerase chain reaction with primers targeting the human papillomavirus E and L gene regions. Beta globin was positive in 54 of 82 specimens. Of these, 18 specimens were squamous cell carcinoma, 10 specimens were keratoacanthomas and 26 were basal cell carcinomas. Human papillomavirus DNA was detected in 13 specimens. Human papillomavirus DNA was detected in 6 of 26 basal cell carcinoma, 5 of 18 squamous cell carcinoma and 2 of 10 keratoacanthoma specimens. Human papillomavirus 6 DNA was detected in 8 specimens, human papillomavirus 16 DNA was found positive in 5 specimens, and human papillomavirus 18 DNA was detected in 3 specimens. This study indicates that human papillomavirus infection may play a role in the pathogenesis of individual cases. Human papillomavirus infection is a possible factor in the ethiology of these tumors.
