Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmada yöremizdeki koyunlar ve mezbaha çalışanlarında T.gondii seropozitivitesinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Mersin Et ve Balık Kurumunda kesim yapılan yöreye ait 99 koyun ve burada çalışan 20 kişiye ait serumlarda Sabin-Feldman Boya Testi ile T.gondii antikorları araştırılmıştır. Bulgular: Koyunların 48'inde (% 48.4), Et ve Balık Kurumu çalışanlarının 2'sinde (% 10), 1/16 ve yüksek titrelerde seropozitiflik saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada yöremizdeki koyunlarda T.gondii enfeksiyonunun sık görüldüğünü ve bu konuya gereken önemin verilmesi gerektiğini ortaya koymuştur.

Abstract

Investigation of anti-toxoplasma gondii antibodies in the workers of the slaughter house and the sheep existing in Mersin region Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the seropositivity of T. gondii in the employees of slaughterhouse and the sheep bred in our region. Methods: T. gondii antibodies are investigated by Sabin Feldman Dye Test in 20 workers of the Institute of Meat and Fish, and 99 sheeps slaughtered at the Institution. Results: Titers of 1/16 and higher values were recorded in 48 sheep (48.4%) and 2 workers (10.0%) of the Institute of Meat and Fish. Conclusion: This study shows that T.gondii infection is frequently encountered in our region and sufficient emphasis should be rendered to this matter.
