Avustralya ve Türkiye İlkokul Matematik Öğretim Programlarının Karşılaştırılması

Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Avustralya ve Türkiye ilkokul matematik öğretim programlarının karşılaştırılmasıdır. Karşılaştırma, genel özellikler ileprogram ögeleri olan hedef, içerik, öğrenme-öğretme durumları ve ölçme değerlendirme bağlamında yapılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi ve betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Veriler, doküman inceleme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Her iki ülkenin eğitim sistemleri ve öğretim programlarıyla ilgili bilgiler resmî kurumların web sitelerinden ya da bilimsel araştırmalardan edinilmiştir. Öne çıkan sonuçlardan bazıları şunlardır: Türkiye matematik öğretim programında kazanımlar Avustralya’ya göre daha yapılandırılmıştır. Avustralya matematik öğretim programı öğrenme-öğretme durumları açısından Türkiye’ye göre daha esnek ve teknolojiyle daha entegredir. Avustralya öğretim programında farklı sosyo-ekonomik özelliklere sahip bölgelerde ve farklı sosyo-ekonomik özelliklere sahip öğrenciler için programın nasıl uygulanabileceğine yönelik tartışmalara yer verilmiştir. Avustralya öğretim programının ölçme değerlendirme bölümünde öğretmenlere rehber olarak öğrenci dosyalarından örnekler sunulmuştur. Türkiye matematik öğretim programı ölçme değerlendirme bölümünde bilişsel özelliklerin yanı sıra duyuşsal ve psikomotor becerilerin ölçümü de önemsenmiştir.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compare primary school mathematics curriculums of Australia and Turkey. The comparison was made in the context of general characteristics, and curriculum elements which are aim, content, learning-teaching activities, and measurement-assessment. Qualitative research method and descriptive analysis were used in the research. Data were gathered by document review technique. Information related to education systems and curriculums of both countries has been obtained from official web sites or scientific researches. Some of the prominent results are as follows: Acquisitions of Turkey mathematics curriculum are more structured than Australia. Australia mathematics curriculum is more flexible, and more integrated with technology in terms of teaching and learning activities. The Australian curriculum includes discussions on how the curriculum should implement for students with different socio-economic characteristics, and in regions with different socio-economic characteristics. In Australian curriculum, the assessment and evaluation section provides examples of student files as a guide for teachers. In Turkey mathematics curriculum assessment and measurement section, affective and psychomotor skills are considered important as much as cognitive abilities.
