Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between secondary school teachers’ perceptions on organizational climate and their own performance. The datum of the study wascollected through ‘The Organizational Climate Description Questionnaire for Elementary Schools (OCDQ-RE)’ and ‘Teacher Performance Evaluation Scale’. In the analysis of the data, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, Mann Whitney U Test and Kruskal Wallis Test wereused. Spearman correlation analyses wasused to determine the relationship between teachers’ perceptions on organizational climate and their own performance. In consequence of the study, it is determined that while the perception of organizational climate of teachers is at high level in supportive principal behavior, collegial teacher behavior and intimate teacher behavior, it is at low level in directive principal behavior, restrictive principal behavior and disengaged teacher behavior.According to the findings, while teachers’ perception on organizational climate shows significant difference according to gender, age, branches, year of service at job and year of service at school, teachers’ perception on performance do not show significant difference according to the variables.
