Özet

Günümüzde glokom cerrahisi adına farklı teknikler uygulanmakla birlikte, halen en sık uygulanan cerrahi yöntem tra- bekülektomidir. Komplikasyonları olmakla birlikte, göz içi basıncı (GİB) kontrolu konusunda uzun dönem etkinliği ve gü- venirliliği bir çok çalışma ile gösterilmiştir. Elbette cerrahi uygulamalarla ilgili yeni yöntem ve arayışlar da hızla devam etmektedir. Glokom cerrahisi geçiren hastalarda katarakt gelişimi veya ilerlemesi ise, sık yaşanan başka bir sorundur. Bu durum hekimde katarakt cerrahisinin GİB ve glokom kontrolünü nasıl etkileyeceği endişesi yaratır. Bu hastalarda hem görsel rehabilitasyonu en iyi şekilde sağlamak, hem de stabilizasyonu koruyarak progresyonu engellemek ana hedeftir. Makalede bu hedefe ulaşmadaki sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri etraflıca irdelenecektir.

Abstract

Nowadays, different techniques are implemented in the name of the glaucoma surgery, trabeculectomy is still the most commonly performed surgical procedures. Although it has complications, its long-term efficacy and safety at intraocular pressure (IOP) control shown by many studies. Of course, new methods and approaches in surgical applications continues. Cataract development or progression is another frequent problem in patients underwent glaucoma surgery. This situation makes the opthalmologists worry about how the cataract surgery will affect the control of IOP and glaucoma. The main goal of these patients to provide both visual rehabilitation, and prevent progression of preserving stabilization. In reaching this goal, the problems and solutions will be analyzed thoroughly in the article.
