Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı otuz hafta ve üzerinde gebe olan kadınların öz bakım gücünü belirlemektir. Yöntem: Betimleyici tipte olan bu çalışma Bakırköy Kadın Doğum ve Çocuk Hastalıkları Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi gebe polikliniğine Ocak-Haziran 2008 tarihleri arasında başvuran 282 gebe ile yapıldı. Verilerin toplanmasında 24 soruluk anket formu ve Öz Bakım Gücü Ölçeği kullanıldı. Veriler karşılıklı görüşme yöntemiyle toplandı. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan gebelerin yaş ortalaması 26.6±4.7 yıl idi. % 79.1’inin ortaokul veya daha az düzeyde öğrenime sahip olduğu, % 86.2’sinin ev hanımı olduğu tespit edildi. Gebelerin öz-bakım gücü puan ortalaması 92.0±18.9’du. Öz-bakım gücü puanını, gebelikten önce modern aile planlaması yöntemi kullanma ve gebelik hakkında eğitim alma olumlu yönde etkilerken, doğum yapmış olma olumsuz yönde etkilemekteydi. Sonuç: Kadınların gebelikten korunmada modern yöntem kullanması ve gebelik sırasında sağlık eğitimi verilmesi, gebelerin öz-bakım gücünü artırmaktadır.
Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to determine pregnant women’s self care agency whose gestational age were 30 weeks or above. Methods: This is a descriptive study which was conducted with 282 pregnant women who had admitted İstanbul Bakırköy Maternity and Pediatric Education and Research Hospital’s perinatology department between January and June 2008. Self care agency scale was used for collecting the data. Results: It was determined that the mean age of pregnant women who admitted to research was 26.6±4.7, 79.1% have secondary school or less education level and 86.2% were housewife. The mean of pregnant women’s self care agency score was 92.0±18.9. Self care agency scores was affected positively from using modern family planning methods before becoming pregnant and education about pregnancy. On the contrary, giving birth was affected negatively. Conclusion: Usage of the modern family planning methods for preventing pregnancy and giving health education during pregnancy increasing pregnant women’s self care agency.
