Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı; Barış Manço eserlerini sosyal bilgiler öğretim programında yer alan değerler bağlamında inceleyerek değer öğretiminde Barış Manço eserlerinin kullanılması hususunda sosyal bilgiler eğitimcilerine önerilerde bulunmaktır. Nitel araştırma yönteminin benimsendiği araştırmada Barış Manço eserleri doküman analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Barış Manço’ya ait 162 adet eserin sözleri çalışmanın veri kaynağını oluşturmuştur. Elde edilen veriler 2018 sosyal bilgiler öğretim programında yer alan değerlere yer verip vermeme durumuna göre betimsel analize tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırma bulgularına göre Barış Manço eserlerinde en fazla sevgi değerinin yer aldığı görülmüştür. Sevgi değerini sırasıyla yardımseverlik, saygı ve estetik değerleri izlemektedir. Barış Manço’nun icra ettiği 162 adet eser içinde 61 tanesinin sosyal bilgiler dersine özgü değerlerle doğrudan ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür. Barış Manço’nun eserlerinde “aile birliğine önem verme, barış, bilimsellik, çalışkanlık, dayanışma, duyarlılık, dürüstlük, estetik, eşitlik, saygı, sevgi, sorumluluk, vatanseverlik ve yardımseverlik.” değerleri yoğun bir şekilde vurgulanmıştır. Bu değerlerin ortaokul öğrencilerine kazandırılmasında belirtilen eserlerin önemli katkılar sağlayacağı söylenebilir.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate Barış Manço's work in the context of the values in the curriculum of social studies and to make recommendations to educators in social studies regarding the use of Barış Manço 's work in values education. In the research which adopted qualitative research method, Barış Manço works were subjected to document analysis. The lyrics of 162 works belonged to Barış Manço formed the data source for the current study. The results collected were subjected to a descriptive analysis based on whether or not they include the values in the 2018 curriculum of the social studies. According to the study findings, it was observed that the value of love was identified the most in the works of Barış Manço. The value of love was followed by helpfulness, respect, and aesthetic values, respectively. Among the 162 works performed by Barış Manço, 61 were considered to be directly associated with values relevant to the social studies lesson. In the works of Barış Manço, "caring for family unity, peace, being scientific, diligience, solidarity, sensitivity, honesty, aesthetics, equality, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism and helpfulness" values are highly emphasized. It can be stated that these works will provide significant contributions to the acquisition of these values to secondary school students.
