Abstract
In the 21st century, together with the accelerated movements in technology, there have been many changes in individuals’ lives. In parallel with the problems of adapting to the requirements of this century, the barriers that university students encounter at the career transition stage may increase and, in this case, university students may improve confusing feelings such as hopelessness, helplessness, anxiety, and stress. In order to provide effective and preventive services to these students, the aim of this study is to determine whether the affectivity and perceived support variables affect university senior students’ perceived career barriers or not. For this purpose, a total of 269 senior year university students studying at different majors of the large-sized university's Faculty of Education located in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey were included in this study. In order to test the hypothesis of the research, the structural equation model was used. According to the results of this study, it was found that affectivity influences university senior students’ perceived career barriers significantly whereas perceived support did not effect it significantly.
