Çalışma Marie Claire’in dijital ortamda yayınlanan 2016 yılındaki on iki sayısı ile sınırlandırılmıştır.

Abstract

Women’s magazines which are among the important mediums informing society have turned into an advertisement tool especially due to tabloidization. This situation affects the content of magazines negatively precluding the content and directs people toward consumption. In this study, the interwoven newsadvertisement relationship was examined on the basis of topics. In the study, Marie Claire Magazine was chosen for the investigation because it has a deep-rooted background and is issued in many countries. The study was limited to Marie Claire’s twelve issues from 2016 which were published on the digital media. In the study which was prepared using content analysis and descriptive analysis methods, the news-advertisement relationship was focused. In the investigation in which all pages of the twelve issues were included, advertisement and news numbers were also handled both qualitatively and quantitatively. As a result of the study, it was seen that titles encouraging consumption were often used in the news.
