Özet
Aydın Ovası sulama kanallarındaki tortu, bazı üreticiler tarafından toprak kalitesini iyileştirdiği gerekçesi ile toprağa serilmek suretiyle kullanılmaktadır. Buna karşın sulama kanalları içerisindeki tortuda biriken yabancı ot tohumları mevcuttur. Bu nedenle 2012-2013 yıllarında yapılan çalışmalarda Aydın Ovası sulama kanallarından alınan tortu örneklerindeki yabancı ot tohum sayıları ve yabancı ot türlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Kanalın farklı örnekleme alanlarından alınarak paçal yapılan tortu örneklerinde ilk yıl ortalama 246,970 adet/m3, ikinci yıl ise 270,152 adet/m3 yabancı ot tohumu olduğu hesaplanmıştır. Tüm örnekleme alanlarından saksılara alınan tortu içerisinde (396 dm3) ilk ve ikinci yılda sırasıyla 73 farklı yabancı ot türünden oluşan 3,032 ve 57 farklı yabancı ot türünden oluşan 2,775 birey teşhis edilmiştir. Tortuda bulunan organik madde miktarının sanıldığı gibi yüksek olmaması (%1,85) ve yabancı ot tohum sayısının fazlalığı nedeniyle kullanımının uzun vadede üreticilere yarardan çok zarar sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
Abstract
The sediment in the Aydın Plain irrigation channels is used by some producers by laying it on the ground for the reason of improving soil quality. On the other hand, there are weed seeds accumulated in the sediment in the irrigation channels. Therefore, in the studies carried out in 2012-2013, it was aimed to determine the number of weed seeds and weed species in the sediment samples taken from Aydın Plain irrigation channels. In blended sediment samples taken from different sampling areas of the channel, it was calculated that an average of 246.970 weed seeds/m3 in the first year and 270.152 weed seeds/m3 in the second year. In the sediment taken from all sampling areas (396 dm3) in first and second year, 3.032 individuals consisting of 73 different weed species and 2.775 individuals consisting of 57 different weed species were identified, respectively. Due to the fact that the amount of organic matter contained in the sediment is not as high as expected (%1.85) and the number of weed seeds are excessive, it is thought that sediment use will cause more harm than good to the producers in the long term.
