KOZAN VE GÂVUR DAĞLARI HAKKINDA BİR LÂYİHA

Özet

XIX. yüzyıl Osmanlı tarihinin aydınlatılması için meydana gelen siyasi, sosyal ve ekonomik olayların etkilerinin derinlemesine incelenip tahlil edilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu zorunluluk, çağının hadiselerine şahitlik etmiş olan Osmanlı devlet adamlarının, aydınlarının ve yazarlarının içinde bulundukları döneme dair kaleme aldıkları eserlerin önemini arttırmaktadır. Bu hususta pek çok çalışma yapılmış ve yapılmaktadır. Bunlar içerisinde yer alan bir eser de Cevdet Paşa'ya ait olup Kozan ve Gâvur Dağları bölgesinde meydana gelen siyasi ve sosyal olaylar hakkında bilgiler vermektedir.Cevdet Paşa, Osmanlı Devleti'nin son dönemlerinde önemli görevlerde bulunmuş, Osmanlı tarihinde önemli yer tutan şahsiyetlerdendir. Bu çalışmada, Cevdet Paşa'nın başında bulunduğu Fırka-i İslâhiye'nin 1864 - 1867 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirdiği faaliyetleri hakkındaki lâyihasının tanıtımı ve değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Lâyihada Fırka-i İslâhiye'nin Kozan ve Gâvur Dağları bölgesinde yaptığı faaliyetlere dair bilgiler yer almaktadır. Yapılan bu çalışmada, şimdiye kadar varlığından bahsedilmeyen, söz konusu lâyihanın müellif nüshası incelemeye tabi tutulmuştur. Bu çalışmayla, Cevdet Paşa'nın bir eseri, ilk kez gün yüzüne çıkarılmış ve birinci elden tarihi bir kaynak bilim dünyasının hizmetine sunulmuştur. Kısacası, bu kaynağın mahiyeti, eserin tetkik ve tahlili, müellifine dair malûmat ve Osmanlı tarihi için önemi bu çalışmanın konusunu teşkil etmiştir.

Abstract

The effects of political, social and economic events of the 19th century should be examined and analyzed in depth in order to illuminate the Ottoman history. This requirement increases the significance of the works the Ottoman statesmen intellectuals and authors, who witnessed the times, penned about the era. Many studies were and are being conducted on the topic. One of the abovementioned works is by Cevdet Pasha and provides information about the political and social events that took place in the region of Kozan and Gâvur mountains. Cevdet Pasha was an important figure during in the final period of the Ottoman Empire and held important offices. In the present study, the presentation and evaluation of his brochure about the activities of the Fırka-i İslâhiye, which he headed between 1864 and 1867, were conducted. In the Brochure, information about the activities of Fırka-i İslâhiye in Kozan and Gâvur mountains region. In this study, the author's copy of the brochure, the existence of which was not mentioned until now, was scrutinized. In the present study, a work of Cevdet Pasha was discovered and added to the scientific literature. In short, the content of the present study included the nature of this resource, the examination and analysis of the work, providing information about the author, and his significance in Ottoman history.
