Çeviribilimde İnceleme Alanları

Özet

Bu yazı disiplinin akademik yönüne dikkati çekmek üzere çeviribilimdeki inceleme alanları, model ve yöntemlerini ele almıştır. Burada amaç çeviride çalışma alanlarıyla ilgili kuramcıların görüş ve yaklaşımlarını ele alarak, bu aktarılan bilgilerin ülkemizde ne ﬂekilde kullanılabileceğini gözler önüne sermektir. Yazıda kuram uygulama alanı arasındaki sınırlar çeviribilimin önde gelen Holmes, Toury ve Newmark gibi kuramcılarının öne sürdüğü görüşler ışığında iki alan arasındaki diyalektik ilişkiyi sergileyecek şekilde ele alınmıştır. Buna göre, araştırma modelleri karşılaştırmalı, nedensel, süreç odaklı ve uygulama alanına yönelik olmak üzere dört sınıfa ayrılmış ve her model çeviri kuramı çerçevesinde tanımlanıp örneklendirilmiştir. Ayrıca her modelle ilgili inceleme gereci ve yöntemleri çeviribilimin devingen sürecini gözler önüne serecek ﬂekilde saptanıp irdelenmiştir.

Abstract

This article deals with the fields, models and methods of research in Translation Studies to draw attention on the academic side of the discipline. It aims at disclosing the basic reseach models and methods posed by the le ading theorists, and exemplifying the ways and the fi elds of application in Turkey. Accordingly, it first deli neates the borders of theory and application in such a way as to exhibit the dialectical relations between them in the light of the views of such theorists as Holmes, To ury ve Newmark . Next, it studies the research models classified as comparative, causal, process oriented and applied. Each model is defined and exemplified within the framework of translation theory. Moreover, it identi fies and studies the objects of study and methods for each model to disclose the dynamic course of translati on studies.
