İnkomplet Melkersson-Rosenthal sendromu

Özet

Melkersson-Rosenthal sendromu, orofasiyal ödem, tekrarlayan fasiyal sinir paralizisi ve fissürlü dil ile karakterize olan nadir bir hastalıktır. Bu sendromun klasik üçlemesi oldukça nadir olup genellikle monosemptomatik veya oligosemptomatik olarak kendini gösterir. Bu olgu bildirimizde; dudak ve göz çevresinde şişlik yakınmaları nedeniyle yapılan incelemeler sonucunda; inkomplet Melkersson-Rosenthal sendromu tanısı konulan hasta sunulmuştur. Sebebi bilinmeyen fasiyal paralizi ve yüzde ödemi olan olguların ayırıcı tanısında Melkersson-Rosenthal sendromu akla gelmeli, “inkomplet “ olguların, bu hastaların önemli bir bölümünü oluşturduğu unutulmamalıdır.

Abstract

Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome is a rare disease characterized by orofacial edema, recurrent facial nerve paralysis and fissured tongue. The classical triad of this syndrome is very rarely seen that usually occurs as monosymptomatic or oligosymptomatic involvement. In this case report, we present a patient with a history of recurrent labial and eyelid edema diagnosed with incomplete Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome. In the differential diagnosis of patients with facial paralysis and orofacial edema, Melkersson- Rosenthal syndrome should be considered and it should be remembered that incomplete cases compose a great number of these patients.
