Özet

Malignite, immünsüpresif ilaç kullanımı ve diabetes mellitus (DM) herpes zoster (HZ) açısından risk faktörleri olarak tanım- lanmaktadır.Diabets mellitus tanısı olan 58 yaşında erkek hasta çift görme şikayeti ile acile servise başvurdu. Hastanın nörolojik muayeneinde sağ göz rektus kas paralizisi ve derin tendon reflex- lerinde hipoaktivite mevcuttu. Bu olgu sunumunda, nadir görü- len bir vaka olarak postviral enfeksiyon sonrası izole 6. Kranial sinir felç tanısı alan bir hasta tartışılmıştır.

Abstract

Malignancy, immunosuppressive drug use, and diabetes mellitus (DM) are defined as risk factors for herpes zoster. A 58-year- old male patient with the diagnosis of DM was admitted to the emergency room with the complaints of double vision. His neu- rological examination revealed under activity of the right lateral rectus muscle and hypoactive deep tendon reflexes. In this re- port, we discuss a rare case of isolated abducens nerve palsy that occurred after postviral infection in the patient.
