Kavram Karikatürleriyle Desteklenmiş Bilimsel Hikâyelerin Akademik Başarı, Tutum ve Motivasyon Üzerine Etkisi

Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; kavram karikatürleriyle desteklenmiş bilimsel hikâyelerin önemli öğrenme ürünlerinden olan akademik başarı, tutum ve motivasyon üzerine etkisini incelemektir. Çalışmada yarı-deneysel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma 2012-2013 eğitim öğretim yılında, Manisa ili Demirci ilçesinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulamalar 27 deney grubu ve 27 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 54 öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen verilerin analizinde t testi ve varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre; kavram karikatürleriyle desteklenmiş bilimsel hikâyelerin kullanıldığı deney grubu öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarının anlamlı derecede daha yüksek olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca kavram karikatürleriyle desteklenmiş bilimsel hikayelerin öğrencilerin tutum ve motivasyonlarında anlamlı düzeyde bir farklılık oluşturmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Abstract
The purpose of this study; examining the effects of science stories supported with concept cartoons on academic achievement, attitude and motivation which are significant learning outcomes. In this research, quasi-experimental research design was used. The study was carried out in Demirci which is the town of Manisa in the academic study of 2012-2013. Practices were carried out with 27 students who were experimental group and 27 students who were control group that totally 54 students. T-test and analysis of variance were used in analysis for the solution of problems. According to the results; it is concluded that the academic achievements of the experimental group students to whom science stories supported with concept cartoons were used are significantly higher than others. Besides, it is concluded that science stories supported with concept cartoons did not create a significant level of difference on students’ motivations and attitudes.
