Özet

İslam kültür ve medeniyetine dair Müslümanlar tarafından oluşturulan ilk sistemli ansiklopedi çalışması olan Diyanet İslam Ansiklopedisi, İslam Bilimleri açısından temel bir kaynak eser niteliğindedir. İslam’la ilgili ilim, tarih ve medeniyete ait 20.000’den fazla madde içeren eser; İslamî ilimlerin farklı disiplinleri açısından da önemli bilgiler ihtiva etmektedir. Ansiklopedinin önemli bilgiler içerdiği disiplinlerden biri de İslam Mezhepleri Tarihi’dir. Bu disiplinle ilgili çok sayıda madde içeren eser, alanın uzmanları tarafından ilk başvuru kaynaklarından biri olarak kullanılmakta ve bu yönüyle takdir edilmektedir. Bununla birlikte diğer alanlarda olduğu gibi Mezhepler Tarihi alanı ile ilgili maddelerin de bir bütün olarak değerlendirilmesi ve bazı tespitlerde bulunulması önem arz etmektedir. Bu amaçla makalemizde Diyanet İslam Ansiklopedisi’nin Mezhepler Tarihi ile ilgili maddeleri; mezhep, fırka, kavram, eser ve şahıs gibi değişkenler üzerinden ele alınacak ve karşılaştırmalı bir yaklaşımla eleştirel bir değerlendirmeye tabi tutulacaktır. Böylelikle Diyanet İslam Ansiklopedisi’nin Mezhepler Tarihi ile ilgili maddelerinin genel görünümünün ortaya çıkarılmasına ek olarak alanla ilgili mezhep, fırka, kavram, eser ve şahısların birlikte ve bir bütün halinde görülmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

Abstract

The Diyanet Islamic Encyclopedia is the first systematic encyclopaedia work created by Muslims on Islamic culture and civilization. This encyclopedia is a fundamental resource in terms of Islamic science. The work contains more than 20,000 articles related to Islam, science, history and civilization, and contains important information in terms of different disciplines of Islamic sciences. One of the disciplines that the encyclopedia contains important information is the History of Islamic Sects. The work containing numerous articles on this discipline is used and appreciated by field experts as one of the first reference sources. However, as in other fields, it is important to evaluate the articles related to the History of Sects as a whole and make some determinati-ons. For this purpose, our article discusses the articles of the History of Sects of the Diyanet Islam Encyclopedia in the context of sect, concept, works and persons and these articles will be critically evaluated through a comparative approach. Thus, it is aimed to reveal the general view of the articles of Encyclopedia related to the History of The Sects and to see sects, concepts, works and individuals related to the field together and as a whole.
