NEW FINDINGS AND PERSPECTIVES IN SETTLEMENTS IN THE VICINITY OF ANTALYA TAHTALI DAĞ

Özet

Antalya ili Kemer ilçesi sınırlarında, Phaselis yerleşiminin kuzeyinde yükselen Tahtalı Dağ'ın etekleri birçok kalıntı barındırmaktadır. Dağın zirvesinden aşağılara inildiğinde yerleşime uygun alanlarla karşılaşılır. Çalışmanın konusu olan Tahtalı Dağ doğu ve güneydoğu kalıntıları Antalya-Kumluca karayolu ile Teleferik alt istasyonu arasındaki sekiz kilometrelik asfalt yolun her iki tarafına yayılmış durumdadır. Asfalt yolun ulaştığı en kuzey noktada, teleferik alt istasyonunun hemen kuzeydoğu bitişiğinde tahkimatlı "Doğu Yerleşimi", buradan dört kilometre güney aşağıda ise asfalt yolun ikiye ayırdığı "Güneydoğu Yerleşim" topluluğu bulunur. İki yerleşim konumu, içerdiği yapıların tanımı ve işlevleri ile incelenerek değerlendirilmiş, bağlı olduğu merkezler hakkında görüşler bildirilmiştir. Tarıma ve dolayısıyla antikçağın en önemli ürünlerine ulaşabilmek için her koşulu sağlayan bu ortamda yaşayan halkın yaşam biçimlerine de değinilmiştir.

Abstract

The foots of Tahtalı Dağ, rising in the north of the settlement named Phaselis, containa vast number of remains. It is possible to observe some fields which can be considered as appropriate for permanent settlement in case one routes from peak-to-foot. The disintegrated east and south-east remains of Tahtalı Dağ, which constitute the subject of this study, are found as scattered around the both sides of the eight-kilometer fragment of the road between Antalya - Kumluca motorway and the Cableway sub-station. The fortified "East Settlement" lies at the maximum north point of the paved road, namely right next to the north-east border of Cableway substation. The "South-east Settlement" bisected by the paved road exists four kilometers down the latter. These two settlements are investigated in terms of their position, the definition and functionality of the buildings they consist of. Comments are reported about the headquarters they were supposed to be affiliated. This area is cut out for agricultural activities, hence it satisfies every condition to reach the most important equipment of the ancient era. Therefore, we also refer to the lifestyle habits of its population.
