Özet
Araştırmanın amacı, okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin Düşünme Eğitimi ile ilgili tutumlarının incelenmesidir. Araştırmada veri toplamak üzere, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Öğretmen Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin Cronbach Alfa katsayısı ,96 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin Düşünme Eğitimi konusunda olumlu düşüncelere sahip oldukları; ancak amaçlar ve öğretmen rollerine ilişkin farklılıklar gösterdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Özel kurumlarda çalışan öğretmenlerin konuya ilişkin tutumlarının, resmî kurumlarda çalışanlara göre daha olumlu olduğu ve mesleğe yeni başlayan öğretmenlerin Düşünme Eğitimi konusunda daha girişimci ve yenilikçi oldukları saptanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, okul öncesi öğretmenlerine yönelik hizmet içi eğitimlerin düzenlenmesi ve okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında uygulanmakta olan program içerisinde, çocuklara düşünme becerilerinin kazandırılması amacı ile Düşünme Eğitimi’ne yer verilmesi önerilmektedir.
Abstract
The aim of the study is to examine the attitudes of pre-school teachers about Thinking Education. Teacher Attitude Scale developed by the researcher to collect data has been used in the research. The Cronbach Alpha Coefficient of the scale has been calculated as 0.96. According to the results of the survey it has been identified that pre-school teachers have got positive opinions about Thinking Education but they have differences about goals and roles of teachers. It has also been identified that attitudes of teachers working in private institutions regarding the issue are more positive compared to the teachers working in public institutions and novice teachers are more entrepreneurial and innovative about Thinking Education. As a result of the research, it is recommended to arrange seminars on Thinking Education for pre-school teachers and to include Thinking Education in the curriculum which has been implemented in pre-school educational institutions in order to make children attain thinking skills.
