ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ÖĞRETMENLİK MESLEĞİNE YÖNELİK TUTUMLARININ BELİRLENMESİ (Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Örneği)

Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, farklı bölümlerde öğrenim gören son sınıf öğrencilerinin öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarını çeşitli değişkenler açısından belirlemek ve bu tutumlar arasında nasıl bir ilişki olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Çalışmada betimsel yöntem kapsamında tarama metodu kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri, 2009- 2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Matematik Öğretmenliği, Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Eğitimi, Türkçe Eğitimi, Sınıf Öğretmenliği, İngilizce Öğretmenliği ve Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği bölümlerinde son sınıfta öğrenim gören toplam 245 (132 kız, 113 erkek) öğrenciye öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutum anketi uygulanarak elde edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin anket formuna vermiş oldukları cevaplar puanlandırıldıktan sonra, bu veriler SPSS programından yararlanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, son sınıf öğrencilerinin öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının cinsiyet, öğrenim gördükleri bölümü tercih etmedeki etkene ve anne eğitim düzeyine göre anlamlı olarak değiştiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu sonuca göre cinsiyet açısından son sınıfta okuyan kız öğrencilerin, erkek öğrencilere göre; öğrenim gördükleri bölümü tercih etmedeki etken açısından incelendiğinde kendini yetiştirmek için öğretmenlik programını tercih edenlerin, mecbur kaldıkları için öğretmenlik programını tercih edenlere göre ve anne eğitim düzeyi açısından ise ilkokul mezunu annelerin çocuklarının, ortaöğretim-yükseköğretim mezunu annelerin çocuklarına göre öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin tutumlarının daha olumlu olduğu görülmüştür.
Abstract
The research shows that students’ view directed towards to teaching professionplays an important role on how to be a teacher in the future and has an important effect on students the aim is determining and comparing students’ views directed towards to teaching professionand this research has been done on the student’s that attend different departments of education faculty. In this research, survey has been used on the range of descriptive method. Datum has been obtained by applying the measure of view directed towards teaching profession, to 245 students (132 girls, 113 boys) that attend different departments of education faculty (Elementary Mathematics Teacher, Computer Education and Instructional Technology Teacher, Turkish Teacher, English Teacher, Social Studies Teacher) in Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in 2009-2010 academic year The answer that students have been given to measure form, have been analyzed by benefiting form program of SPSS 17.0. According to analysis’ that have been done; it is understood that in teacher applicants’ views directed towards teaching shows difference interms of sex, reasons of selection to being a teacher and their mothers’ or fathers’ job and high schools they attended their kinds of high school. According to these findings that have been obtained student of girl’s view directed towards to teaching proffession is more positive than boys’ this result supports a common understanding of being the teaching professionis more appropriate for women. In addition to this; a person who selects being a teacher to grow up himself /herself shows more positive attitude to professional teacher than a person who selects for being compelled. Furthermore, children whose mothers have graduated from primary school have more positive attitude than children whose mothers have graduated from high school.
