Revised mathematics anxiety rating scale: a confirmatory factor analysis

\r\n The aim of this research is to adapt the Revised Mathematics Anxiety Rating Scale (R-MARS; Plake & Parker, 1982) to Turkish and to examine its psychometric properties. The research was conducted on 372 pre-service teachers. Results of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses demonstrated that this scale yielded 2 factors, as original form and that the model was well fit. Internal consistency coefficient of the scale was .93 and test-retest reliability coefficient was .91. Also, corrected item-total correlations ranged .30 to .80. Thus, R-MARS can be used as a valid and reliable instrument in education and psychology.\r\n
