Ranunculaceae Dermatiti: Olgu Sunumu

Özet

Geçmişte olduğu gibigünümüzde de özellikle kronik hastalığı olan insanların medikal tedavi dışında alternatif tedavi yöntemlerini kullandıkları bilinmektedir. Bunlardan biride bölgemizde özellikle romatizmal hastalıklar için kullanılan ve Mayıs çiçeği (Ranunculaceae) olarak bilinen bir bitkidir. Bitkilerin bazıları deriye temas ettiklerinde zararsız olmasına rağmen bir kaçı irritan, alerjik ya da fototoksik dermatite neden olabilirler. Burada fitodermatit tanısı koyduğumuz hastayı sunarak bilinçsiz bir şekilde kullanılan bitkisel tedavilerin ciddi yan etkileri olabileceğini hatırlatmak istedik.

Abstract

It is well known that people with chronic disease particularly use alternative treatment modalities along with medical treatment today as they did in the past. One of these is the plant known as Mayflower (Ranunculaceae), which is used especially for rheumatic diseases in our region. Although some of the plants are harmless when they contact with the skin, few can lead to irritating, allergic or phytotoxic dermatitis. By presenting this case with diagnosis of phytodermatitis, we intend here to remind that unconsciously used plant therapies can cause serious side effects.
