Abstract

Seeking different therapeutic options for clinical success in bisphosphonate-related jaw osteonecrosis, the treatment of which may be considered difficult, is an ongoing issue for a long time. The use of low level laser therapy in jaw osteonecrosis has been among the alternative treatment options for the last 11 years. However, it remains unclear if low level laser therapy is indeed a single treatment or a supportive therapy. Thus, in this literature review, the outcomes of applications of low level laser therapy performed for the treatment of bisphosphonate-related jaw necrosis between 2006 and 2017 are presented.
