Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of technology and augmented reality-supported analytic geometry instruction on the academic achievement of pre-service elementary mathematics teachers across several variables: experimental/control group, grade point average (GPA), type of graduated high school, and gender. Conducted within an experimental design framework, the sample of the study consists of 52 pre-service teachers (41 female, 11 male) studying at a state university. During the six-week implementation period, the topics of "vectors in space, lines, and plane equations" were delivered with the integration of GeoGebra and GeoGebraAR in the experimental group, while conventional instruction methods were maintained in the control group. Data were gathered through the "Analytic Geometry Achievement Test" developed by the researcher. According to the analysis results, although the achievement mean score of the experimental group was arithmetically higher, no statistically significant difference was found between the groups. Similarly, it was observed that the participants' gender and the type of secondary education institutions they graduated from did not cause a statistically significant variance in academic achievement outputs. On the other hand, a statistically significant difference was identified between the pre-service teachers' overall GPAs and their analytic geometry achievement scores.
