Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı CAD/CAM blokları ile üretilmiş porselen lamina venerlerin dayanıklılık ve kenar uyumlarını incelemek ve laboratuvarda presleme yöntemiyle üretilen venerlerle karşılaştırmaktır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Periodontal nedenlerle çekilmiş 60 adet insan santral dişi kronal bölgede kökleri 2 mm dışarıda kalacak şekilde akrilik bloklara gömüldü. İnsizal bevel preparasyon tekniği ile preparasyon sonrası dişler 5 gruba ayrıldı. Deneysel gruplar, CAD/CAM sistemi+Vita Mark II bloklar (VM), CAD/CAM sistemi, IPS e.max CAD bloklar (EC)+CAD/CAM sistemi, Lava Ultimate bloklar (LU), CAD/CAM sistemi+IPS Empress CAD bloklar (PC) ve presleme yöntemi+IPS Empress Esthetic (EP) grubudur(n=12).

Abstract

Background and Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the fracture strength and marginal adaptation of the veneers manufactured with CAD/CAM blocks and compare them with those produced by hot-pressed technique. Materials and Method: Sixty human central teeth extracted for periodontal reasons were embedded into acyrlic blocks leaving outside 2 mm of the coronal portion of the roots, After incisal bevel preparation, teeth were divided into 5 groups (n=12). These experimental groups were CAD/CAM system+Vita Mark II blocks (VM), CAD/CAM system+IPS e.max CAD (EC), CAD/CAM system+Lava Ultimate block (LU), CAD/CAM system+IPS Empress CAD blocks (PC) and hot-pressed technique+IPS Empress Esthetic (EP). After the veneers were produced, marginal gaps were measured vertically by stereomicroscope from the mesial, distal, incisal and cervical margins. Then veneers were cemented with resin cement (Variolink Veneer) Specimens were loaded with a universal testing machine at a crosshead-speed of 0.5 mm/min until fracture and the fracture strength values were recorded. Types of fracture were classified as adhesive, cohesive, mixed and root fracture. Results: The mean marginal gap size of VM, EC, LU, PC and EP were 33.88 µm, 34.08 µm, 32.24 µm, 33.61 µm and 73.78 µm respectively. EP had statistically higher values than other groups (p 0.05). (VM:224.08±99.16N; EC:265.66±120.43; LU: 233.33 ±60.52N; PC:248.04±63.92N ve EP 252.59±70.19N). Conclusion: Veneers fabricated using CEREC Omnicam demonstrated better marginal adaptation than veneers fabricated using hot-pressed technique. Fracture strength values of different materials and fabrication techniques were similar
