Analysis of Emotional Intelligence Job Satisfaction and Burnout Levels of Preschool Teachers According to Some Variables

Okul Öncesi Öğretmenlerinin Duygusal Zeka Yetenekleri İş Doyumları ve Tükenmişlik Düzeylerinin Bazı Değişkenler Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract

This study is conducted to determine whether emotional intelligence levels of preschool teachers differ according to age, education level and participation to social activities number of in-service trainings participated. The research is implemented with 378 preschool teachers working in public and private preschool educational institutions in 13 cities in Central Anatolia Region. In the study, a ‘Personal Information Form’ is used to obtain socio-demographic information (age, education level, participation to social activities and number of in-service trainings participated) about preschool teachers; ‘Bar-on Emotional Intelligence Scale’, ‘Hackman and Oldham Job Satisfaction Scale’, and ‘Maslach Burnout Inventory’ are used to determine teachers’ emotional intelligence abilities, job satisfaction and burnout levels. Bu ara tırmada, okul öncesi ö retmenlerinin duygusal zekâ, i doyumu ve tükenmi lik düzeylerinin ya , e itim düzeyi, hizmet içi e itim ve sosyal etkinliklere katılımlarına göre farklıla ıp farklıla madı ı incelenmi tir. Ara tırma ç Anadolu Bölgesindeki 13 ilde resmi ve özel okul öncesi e itim kurumlarında görev yapmakta olan 378 okul öncesi ö retmeniyle yürütülmü tür. Ara tırmada okul öncesi ö retmenlere ait sosyo-demografik bilgilere (ya , e itim durumu, sosyal etkinliklere katılım, hizmetiçi e itime katılım) ula mak için ki isel bilgi formu, duygusal zekâ yetene i, i doyumu ve tükenmi lik seviyelerini belirlemek için Bar-On Duygusal Zekâ Ölçe i, Hackman ve Oldham Doyumu Ölçe i ve Maslach Tükenmi lik Envanteri kullanılmı tır. Ara tırma sonucunda okul öncesi ö retmenlerinin duygusal zekâ, i doyumu ve tükenmi lik düzeyleri bazı de i kenlere göre farklılık göstermi tir
