Investigation of The Relationship Between the Terms of Gifted Children's Attachment Style and Leadership Skills

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the attachment style and leadership skills of the gifted students at the Science and Art Center in terms of different kinds of variables. The universe of this study includes 153 gifted children who are educated in the BİLSEM in provinces of Bayburt, Erzurum and Yozgat. The data were collected by using the "Attachment Styles Scale for Early Adolescents" and "Roets Rating Scale for Leadership”. These analyses are made on the data obtained from the study; Pearson correlation coefficient, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U. According to the results of the study, there is a positive relation found between the leadership skills and secure attachment style; and a negative relationship found between leadership skills, avoidance and anxious attachment styles.

Bu araştırma Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi’ne devam eden üstün yetenekli ve zekalı çocukların bağlanma biçimleri ve liderlik becerileri arasındaki ilişkileri çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Erzurum, Bayburt ve Yozgat ilindeki Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi’ne devam eden 153 üstün yetenekli ve zekalı öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Liderlik Becerileri Değerlendirme Ölçeği”, “Erken Ergenlerde Bağlanma Ölçeği” ve araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler üzerinde korelasyon, Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis h testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre liderlik becerileri ile güvenli bağlanma biçimi arasında pozitif yönde; liderlik becerileri ile kaçınmalı ve kaygılı bağlanma biçimleri arasında negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur.
