The Relationship Between Work Motivation and Organisational Identification According to Perceptions of Teachers

Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to determine the level of perception of job motivation and organizational identification of teachers working in public schools and the relationship between variables. The study was conducted with the participation of 219 teachers in 2015-2016 academic year. "Work Motivation Scale" and "Organizational Identification Scale" were used as data collection tools. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 22.0 and Lisrel 8.8 programs. As a result of the study, teachers' job motivation was relatively moderate and organizational identification was relatively high. In addition, there was a positive, low and significant relationship between job motivation and organizational identification. Finally, it was determined that job motivation is a significant predictor of organizational identification and various suggestions were made according to the results of the study.

Özet

Bu çalışmada kamu okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin iş motivasyonu ve örgütsel özdeşleşme algı düzeyleri ve değişkenler arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılında 219 öğretmenin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama araçları olarak “İş Motivasyonu Ölçeği” ve “Örgütsel Özdeşleşme Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Veriler betimsel istatistikler, korelasyon analizi ve çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Veriler SPSS 22.0 ve Lisrel 8.8 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, öğretmenlerin iş motivasyonu görece orta düzeyde ve örgütsel özdeşleşme de görece yüksek düzeyde tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca iş motivasyonu ile örgütsel özdeşleşme arasında pozitif yönde, düşük ve anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Son olarak iş motivasyonunun örgütsel özdeşleşmenin anlamlı bir yordayıcısı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
