The Process of Admission to the Profession of Architecture: A Proposal For Turkey

Abstract

Architecture is a discipline which requires a rich background and brings many other fields together, has a very comprehensive field of study. Examination of every step of architecture, introducing the process and conditions of professional acceptance for architects based on a deep research through selected countries are the main objective in this research. Based on the assumption for there can be differences between point of views of architectural actors from different institutions and pasts, evaluations were made with questionnaires. The aim of the research is to find out proper professional acceptance conditions which can produce its own authenticity and values by observing modern and contemporary architectural field contents and to demonstrate the process over a model. As a result, according to the knowledge gathered by the research and data evaluation, a model approach has been structured for Turkey.

Özet

Mimarlık, zengin bir altyapı gerektiren ve birçok alanı bir araya getiren, çok kapsamlı bir çalışma alanına sahip bir disiplindir. Mimarlığın her aşamasının incelenmesi, seçilen ülkeler üzerinden derin bir araştırmaya dayalı olarak mimarların profesyonel kabul süreci ve koşullarının tanıtılması bu araştırmanın temel amacıdır. Farklı kurumlardan ve geçmişlerden gelen mimari aktörlerin bakış açıları arasında farklılıklar olabileceği varsayımından hareketle anketlerle değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı, modern ve çağdaş mimari alan içeriklerini gözlemleyerek kendi özgünlüğünü ve değerlerini üretebilecek uygun mesleki kabul koşullarını bulmak ve bir model üzerinden süreci göstermektir. Araştırma ve verilerinin değerlendirilmesi sonucunda elde edilen bilgilere göre Türkiye için bir model yaklaşımı yapılandırılmıştır.
